"Salsa Explosion in Fitzroy", en el Corazón de Melbourne. The event was launched on Thursday, May 21st at First Floor in Fitzroy, Melbourne and will then continue every thursday!! The Salsa Explosion is a celebration of the broad culture that the music has come to represent; a way of experiencing dance, food, drink and people coming together.....all the sensations of the Latin world with all the flavors that surround it.

Featuring professional dancers Kathleen Gonzalez and Ramon Martinez Mendoza along with the amazing sounds of Del Barrio and the Quartet Street Orchestra, it will be a night full of power and energy!! One of the aims of Cruzao Arepa Bar is to link the culture of Latin American and its community organisations with the broader public, and to encourage the participation of new audiences: this is why we are approaching you today.

Our vision goes beyond the constrained boundaries of the night-club, reaching deeply into the fibre of Latin America, strongly represented by the vibrancy of Salsa not just just as a musical genre but as a cultural phenomenon.
