Bathtub Conversions

Wow… I just came across the blog posts that I wrote fifteen years ago now. Things are very different than they were back then when I was a young woman in my mid-twenties joking around with my parents. I’m almost forty now and my parents are pushing seventy.

Pretty much everything I spoke about in my blog about my fear of my parents getting older has come true. It makes sense seeing as that is the circle of life. Everyone gets older, which is a blessing as it means they’ve gotten to live their lives to the fullest. The people who don’t get older have left us tragically before their time. Fortunately for my family and me, that hasn’t been the case.

I doubt anyone reads this blog anymore, especially as even I forgot that it existed, but if anyone had notifications for this blog turned on all those years ago, you may be interested in, and receive, this update. My elderly parents had professional bath modifications done in their home about five years ago now. The very thing I spent years joking about with my parents came true. I guess we always knew that it could happen, but the jokes stopped when it did.

The good thing is that the modifications they made have been really helpful. My parents don’t have to worry about falling over trying to get into the shower or bath and I can rest easy knowing that they’re as safe as they possibly can be. I’m glad that the easy step bathtub conversion completed by Sydney professionals was so effective. My parents wouldn’t want me to worry about them all the time.

Now that I’ve updated my very minimal readers on my life as it is fifteen years later, I think this will be my last blog post on this forum. There’s not much for me to say other than hug your loved ones twice.
